Dr. Tim Holley - is a founding member of the NC Cello Society and the force behind the Facebook page, African-American Cello History Collective. Cello music by African-American composer, Part 1, will discuss the rich field of cello music by African-American composers and ways to obtain lesser-known compositions. In advance of Tim Holley's talk, here's an opportunity to hear Tim play Adolphus Hailstork's 2012 Sonata for Solo Cello. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1UjVWWLK53k&ab_channel=minorholley1924 Tim gave us both music and food for thought in Part I of Cello Music by African-American Composers.
