For those who knew and worked with Yang Xi, a fabulous violinist and violist, it's with great sorrow that he passed away on April 12, 2019, from cancer, following after his partner Izabela Spiewak, a gifted violinist, who died from cancer in 2013.
The obituary published by Brown Wynne provides additional details of his life in music. See https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/raleigh-nc/yang-xi-8247285. Here are some links of him and Izabela performing Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante with conductor Alan Neilson and the Durham Symphony. How young we look!
