Summer Workshops and Camps
Registration due today July 6, 2020!
On Wednesday, July 8 at 2pm, middle school and high school cellists are invited to join the North Carolina Symphony’s Associate Principal Cello, Elizabeth Beilman, for a FREE virtual workshop–the first in our new “Tune-Up!” series! In this one-hour Zoom session, cellists will work on the skills needed to perform the first two movements of Vivaldi’s Sonata in B-flat Major. (As you may know, this repertoire is required on the North Carolina Senior Regional Orchestra auditions.)
Students will learn how to improve trill technique and articulation of bowing patterns found in this sonata—plus, they will have the option to play for the class and receive personal feedback and instruction from Ms. Beilman! This workshop is perfect for cellists ages 12-18, who have been playing at least 3 years.
Please share this opportunity with any students who may be interested, and encourage them to participate!
Registration and further details are available here. Register by Monday, July 6!
